Hello there !

I’m Charlotte, 22, and I come from France. I created this blog to post my “poems” on the net (duh !) but my approach was to share with someone else my thoughts.

I’m having a difficult time trying to adapt to my new life in Bordeaux. In fact it’s my family that has a lot of problems trying to make it each month with all the bills and no job… So I decided to write. But strangely I found that i could not write in my own language (french), but I was able to do it in english.

I’m struggling between my responsibilities, and my desire to spread my wings and live my own life. Hopefully, I’ll do it one day. Until then, I’m doing my best to keep my family safe from hunger, from despair, from anger. But it’s tough. Because I’m not the head of the family, not even the biggest daughter, and I’m just a student. Honestly I have a quite egotistical temper because I always got what I wanted before, and always relied on the bravest mother I ever meet to help me with my problems. But today, they need me, and I’m 200 kilometers away from them, and I have problems of my own (with university and bills), so I find it very hard to support them.

So here, you’ll find some of my feelings, wrote in moments of despair, of doubt, of pain. With a hint of hope, because that’s what keeps me going until now.
